Please join us as we showcase the talents of student filmmakers from around the world at the After Hours Film Society's 2015 Say It In Eight Student Film Festival. Over 70 films were submitted by students from 15 countries around the world. Eligible entries were 8 minutes or less in length and had to meet specific criteria in order to be considered. Film educators and professionals were then recruited to serve as our judges. These highly qualified individuals screened each and every film and selected their top choices. What we will see at this special After Hours program is the best in the categories of fiction, non-fiction and animation/experimental, based on level of education, from grammar school though graduate.

Winners are invited to receive their awards at our program and to be available to answer audience questions regarding their film, their background, their goals and ambitions.

“Last year we were able to attract the attention of some very talent student filmmakers from around the world,” said Deborah Venezia, executive director of the society.  “This year, we are planning a more aggressive approach to reaching students and getting the word out.  Our goal is to get the best and most creative work out there.”

The After Hours Film Society is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit cultural organization formed to encourage the appreciation of cinema, both as an art and as a medium of information and education.  Our mission is to provide the suburban community with first class foreign, art and independent films that otherwise would not be offered locally.
